Heavy Truck Parking Apps

The widespread use of Smartphones means that there is an app for just about anything a person can imagine, and commercial truck drivers can use free technology to find parking spots. Here are some apps available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Park My Truck

Public and private parking providers can report available spaces through this app. Truckers can see how far away they are from parking and search areas of 50-250 miles.

If you want to plan ahead, this app doesn't rely on proximity to find nearby truck stops. Instead, you can enter your destination to see current traffic conditions and look at what drivers are reporting about that location. You could also plug-in your trip parameters to find parking stops that will be nearby. This app allows you to set alerts and has options for emergency services.

Trucker Path

Drivers report on information in several categories, and users can look at a location's history to check for busy periods, get parking updates and find points of interest. Points of interest include:

  • Weigh Stations
  • Truck Washes
  • Repair Shops
  • Restaurants

This app offers convenience as it can store data even when drivers aren't able to use their phones. RoadBreakers just needs to be open, and drivers can look at the data when ready even if they are no longer in an area with cell coverage. If the internet is available, live updates are possible.

These are a few free apps that can make life easier for truck drivers.
